I don't know if I really understand the question, so I will do my best to answer. The password associated with the SSID ( i.e. used to connect to the Wi-Fi ) is different from the password used to manage the device if you HTTP to the IP address of the device. I think there might even be another password for the phone app, but I do not use that app so I cannot really speak to that.
