Yes it does work with your existing wi fi. I needed a hard cable in my girl friends office. We plugged it in her tower. Did what the directions told us to do. And perfect not only does it work. But it works awesome. I would recommend anyone to buy this. I am very happy with this purchase.

Yes it should, it’s actually an WiFi ecb tender and works by connecting to your current WiFi signal and boosting it. I have my connected upstairs at a point where it manages to catch enough signal from downstairs and boosts all through upstairs. It honestly works amazing!!
