Depending on how far away your router is in the apartment from your actual location. The range on this device is very strong and actually has a dual range setting. It has 2.4gz and 5.0. 2.4gz is around 150ft while the 5gz is around 300ft. Walls don’t really make a difference unless you have some sort of solid material or dense metal, which if it’s an apartment, is unlikely. This should work fairly well. Good luck!
