“I recently installed a wireless video surveillance system on my home. I need to connect wirelessly to it from modem router in another room. It cant be near dsl or in a cabinet. had to be in exact spot to see all cameras. is this what I need?”

I believe this will work. I connected wirelessly in an upstairs room from a modem/ router that was located downstairs. Works great. You can always check with a Best Buy employee before purchasing
