Works well on my son's gaming system, but that is indirect knowledge from asking him how well it was working versus the system he had before.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you would definitely be able to use it for gaming with your router in the other room. You can chose 2.4 or 5 ghz or hook to multiple things. But remember 5 gigahertz is good for a straight shot in between router and the USB wireless wi-fi 5 gigahertz is not good if you have walls and stuff in between the two if it's a straight shot 5 gigahertz if you have walls and stuff in between your router and the USB wireless wi-fi then go with 2.4 gigahertz. But should work for you definitely really well
