This router already comes with a modem in it so there's no need to connect an additional modem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is a combined router and modem. You don't need anything else.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No need to connect a modem to this unit. It is a Modem/Router/WIFI unit. Just to clarify: A computer is a digital device, and requires a modem to convert the signal from the internet to a digital signal the computer can use. The word modem is a portmanteau of the words modulate and demodulate. It usually has only one RJ45 (Ethernet) port to connect to the computer. A router is connected to a modem to act as a traffic cop when you have multiple computers or other internet connected devices attached to the same internet feed. It usually has four RJ45(Ethernet) ports and sometimes a voice RJ11 telephone plug and a Coaxial cable plug as well. Over the years the modem and the router have been combined into one unit. As a consequence it has been referred collectively as a Router. When the modem and and he router are combined with a WIFI broadcast unit, as the unit you are inquiring about, it is collectively referred to as a Gateway. Great unit by the way.
