QuestionI just bought this devise and was having problems getting it connected to Spectrum. I called Spectrum and was told this devise is NOT compatible to Spectrum’s internet service. I was told I need to return the unit. Anyone else have this problem?

- Answer it works very well with Spectrum unless you need a home phone with Spectrum . It does not handle voice , in our case we don't use a home phone

QuestionCan anyone tell me connection speed getting on hardwired PS or Xbox? I purchased a mesh system and it lowered my hardwired equipment. Getting gigablast but want to be sure this supports higher download speeds on hardwired equipment too!

- Answer I have three PS4 systems connected to this device. One is hard wired, one is on the 5Ghz channel, and one is on the 2.4Ghz channel. I'm using Spectrum as my provider on their 100mb speed plan. I realistically usually only see just over 96mb download and 5mb upload total, but that's due to my provider, not the modem. This router does split it fairly evenly when we speed test all three systems simultaneously with the wired and 5Ghz each getting just over 30mb download and the 2.4Ghz around 29Ghz. Any one system can get high 90's if the others are not using much at the moment. This thing has been great for playing Dying Light over the LAN, and we play Fortnite through the wireless all the time. We game a lot, and as long as you keep the same system types off of the same wireless frequency as each other, this modem has yet to disappoint me. Granted, I haven't had it long, so the honeymoon period isn't over yet.

- Answer No, u cannot. It does not have the jack for the phone. Cable and 4 internet ports in the back only.

QuestionI have phone and voicemail through Xfinity but never use the phone. Will this still work although it doesnt have a phone/voicemail capability. I just wont be able to use phone? I always take calls on my cell anyways. The phone is with plan.

- Answer This modem will not transmit a cable company hotspot like proprietary modems do. It does offer a separate guest WiFi if you choose to activate it. Otherwise, it transmits a 2.4 & 5 ghz WiFi bands for your home network. Hope this answers your question.

- Answer No. Xfinity pods only work with proprietary Xfinity modem. I now have 3 paperweights in my XFi pods.
