• The Netgear CM1000 is only a cable modem. You will need a separate router.

• It's a Modem, just a Modem, not a Modem and Router, yes the description is misleading, it says it's a 2 in 1 and below that bullet, it says it needs an external router for WiFi. When in doubt, PLEASE REFERENCE THE MANUFACTURER WEBSITE FOR CORRECT SPECIFICATIONS.

• This is strictly a modem. 32 x 16 is the DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem technology. It is 10 times faster than the previous DOCSIS 3.0.
