Arod, you won’t have to contact your provider. I do suggest looking online for your provider’s list of compliant modems (aleven tgough this is NOT a modem). This Netgear product would notify you through its app when you start it up about modem compatibility or lack thereof. Best Buy can take it back if you run into a glitch.
