Al, Hope you already made a decision, but I replaced my Comcast router with a Motorola surfboard and still use Comcast as my ISP and it is working very well. I don't pay any rental costs and now get all of my content through my Apple III TV and my Fire stick.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.that would be a question for comcast.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.you can. all the router does is split the connection to everything. You may need to call you ISP to configure some stuff if it doesnt work properly, but this router is very easy to setup and it does most of the work for you on initial setup
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't see why you can't. I have Time/Warner High Speed internet. It connects to their modem via coaxial cable. I then connect their modem to my router. No problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have Time Warner for internet, WiFi, & phone, and DirecTV for the TV's. I only have one modem (Time Warner's). I just connected the Nighthawk to the modem where my old ancient router had been plugged in. And even though the Whole-House WiFi is through Time Warner, it connects via Wi-Fi to our SMART TV's for Netflix, etc. Obviously not sure about using it with COMCAST, but it doesn't make sense to me to have to use an additional modem. This Nighthawk unit solved all our issues with Wi-Fi!! We love it!
