if your actually talking about the old DSL protocols then this would be a waste of money as you will never get what it is designed to do.. If your referring to the more modern type DSl/Fiber like Uverse or Verizon I cannot speak for Verizon but for Uverse Max 45 MB internet (all that is available to me in my area) I have no issues with speed etc. wifi speed test on my desktop with 10/100/1000 wireless l peak around 42 -47 MB hard wired I peak 46 - 48 MB . This router will not boost the speed your paying for so if you have 16 MB internet that is pretty much where you will be in most cases. A+/N+/S+ I.T Tech 17 years

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can tell you it works fantastically on both UVerse Max Turbo 24mb and HughesNet which is probably slower than your DSL. Coverage area is best on the market for signal strength. You can always got to a cat6 cable from the modem to your router as this can potentially be a choke point for data transfer.

Please try again later.It does have a PPOE option if you have a basic DSL modem like the old Westel ones or etc. Its a bit technical but it can be done :) Plus this router's firmware is way better than AT&T's budget Motorola LEMONS they keep forcing people to use. If you have an AT&T Uverse router, disable all firewall and wifi options on it and use the Netgear instead,
