“I understand this unit is not meant as a build in/under cabinet; but, can it be placed in a closet? How much clearance is suggested?”

• I would not recommend that you enclose it as even in an open room, there is some ice developing in the rear of the unit and my experience is that will eventually cause failure with water leaks. Better to have in a very open space.
