Absolutely!! I had a Nikon D90 and was looking for something lighter with more pixels. When this camera was dropped $300 in price, I jumped on it! I used the D90 for sports photography (my kids were in basketball, tennis and volleyball)...and Nikon can't be beat for quality and speed!
