If using paper filters, you don't use the reusable filter that comes with it, just put them directly in the basket. Our frother just broke while hand washing it. A little screw in the bottom holds the whole thing together and it fell off and down the drain. I'd rinse well after each use and make sure the screw is tight before hand washing it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I unscrewed the frother at the bottom, (it will twist off) and I just put all the parts in the silverware tray in the dishwasher, when it was done with the wash I put it all back together and re-screwed onto the bottom! :)
