A:Answerdon't think the other guy knows what he's talking about. The current released cards are online only, but the launch day cards get an in-store release at select locations. I would guess the list of 3080 Ti best buy stores will be the same locations for the 3070 Ti (I hope since there is a store here in Madison that is doing the launch). Let's pray it's the same list of stores.
A:AnswerYes. Same here. I've been refreshing constantly every 10 seconds or sooner since 7am when it was supposed to come out then a bit past 2 MST is when it, all of a sudden, changed straight from Coming Soon to Sold Out. If you notice too, it says Sold Out but nobody can leave a review but it has been released yet.
Just goes to show how Best Buy only cares about money and not customers. They do ABSOLUTELY nothing to help the average person get a card.
A:AnswerCorporate bestbuy put out that article around 11am-12pm est the day before the 3080ti launched, so that time has already passed sadly. I talked to two reps at bestbuy and both told me it is going to be an online launch. There is also a pcgamer article in which their rep said it's an online launch.
A:AnswerFirst of all it's worth noting that Best Buy did not actually sell any of these cards on June 10th. They had no stock and not even the bots got any cards. It's possible that Best Buy will stock this in the future though so I'll provide general instructions.
I can't detail everything I know in this submission box, but I can try to point you in the right direction. Best Buy stocks graphics cards about every 2 weeks give or take a few days (so next time graphics cards will be stocked will be on or around June 24). There are livestreams on Youtube and Twitch that monitor the stock of graphics cards on Best Buy and you should keep one of those streams open during the days leading up to a possible drop. (Unfortunately I'm not able to recommend any specific streamers because there are probably rules against advertising, but you will probably find several by searching either "graphics card" on Twitch or "graphics card live stock" on Youtube and then you can pick one you like. Good ones will have auditory alerts for stock.) The idea is to be expecting stock on Best Buy's website so when it does happen you will hear the alert and hopefully already have the Best Buy tabs open and ready to go.
If you are on the site at the right time, the button will turn yellow and show "Add to Cart", and when you click it, you will be put in a virtual queue, and when you are at the front of the queue, the button will turn yellow and show "Add to Cart" once again, and this time it will add the GPU to cart. At this point, if you got that far, check out as quickly as possible.
Also, a final tip is that if you only aim for only one card you are more likely to leave empty handed. You should identify several cards that all fit your budget and try for all of them at the same time. That way, you're more likely to at least get a card instead of no card.
It may take a few drops to have a success, but every time you get more experience and learn more about the process, so you will be better prepared for next time. Good luck!
A:Answerall the time, the bots get them all in seconds. You have to be faster than a computer... so, you really can't unless you get really lucky. I've been trying to buy a GPU form best buy for close to a year now. I sit at night on the weekends and click. I've only gotten to the purchase page three times and I get stuck waiting while the bots get them all then it's back to loading the best buy page and hitting refresh again..
I've spent almost as much time trying to buy a gpu as i did gaming last year.
Im an old man and Id rather wait in 5 F cold than this process. Why they cant mail ONE coupon to long term best buy customers on request I don't know. I do know I have $12,000 ready to buy kitchen appliances but it won't be from best buy if I can't buy a GPU without being blocked by scalpers using bots.
