Looks like a thunderbolt to me. lol. it has a thunder bolt logo. another place claims it is usb-c3 which I'm pretty sure is thunderbolt. i hook my galaxy note 8 up to it to get internet access while away from home and its actually pretty quick for 4g speeds. i haven't tried external gpu but you prob wont need it unless your wanting 120fps ultra everything. the screen is only 60hz. i run all games at 60fps on high to ultra. quake champions runs 100+ on medium settings. only game i run over 60 due to some of the input being tied to fps.
