Yes, sort of. You can use the computer after set up. However, I had to download the latest updates manually, which also included the latest OS version. That alone took about 1 hour to install. Plan on 2 hours to download and install all updates.

If it was on the shelf for more than 3 or 4 months I am sure there will be some updates when you first start it after purchase. Updates are usually no big deal and should not take too much of your time. Bob
