Yes you can buy an adapter. I've seen them on Amazon and other web sites. Just type in the model number and see what comes up. I'm using an adapter from an older model that works with it. You can disconnect the hose. It fits very tight so I'm careful when disconnecting it, and no it does not come with a carrying case. Hope this helps.
