- Answer Yes, since it has line level outputs. You have two options: 1. Player => Power Amp => Passive Speakers 2. Player => Mixer => Power amp = Passive Speakers or use Active Speakers (which have build-in power amp) instead of Power Amp and passive speakers PS There are power mixers which also have built-in amplifier.

- Answer No, this unit needs to be connected to an amplifier or receiver. It only has low level output that must be amplified to drive speakers.

- Answer No, the signal must be amplified before connecting to any sort of speaker. A receiver/power amplifier is required.

- Answer If the Kenwood has typical line level RCA inputs you are good to go. But I think you are wondering if a modern CD player is compatible with a older receiver. I use the Onkyo with a 1990 Yamaha receiver and there are no issues with incompatibility.

QuestionWill the Onyoko 6 cd player play continuously??? I am older and cannot get up and down so readily, but would love to load it for a day's worth of cd's and not have to mess with it.... so will it turn off automatically when the last cd is played???

- Answer Yes, will play all 6 cds then will stop playing. However, the unit will stay powered on and will have to be turned off.

QuestionWhy does the cd player say “no disc” when there are cds in the player? It’s brand new, straight out of the box.

- Answer Because it is defective. My guess is an issue with the laser. Mine did the same thing straight out of the box. When it did play, the cds skipped really bad. It was unlistenable. Return it.
