• Do a compare using the best buy compare. All that I found is that the 143 has a longer bulb life and is slightly larger. The throw, ration and max screen size are almost identical.

• The physical dimensions/weight of the 143X are slightly different. More importantly the lamp life is much greater in Dynamic/Eco mode and quite a bit lower in Bright mode than the 142X. Fan noise appears to be up a decibel or two, not significant. Hope this helps.
