You do not have to cancel your Comcast first. I would install you Orby system and make sure all is running properly and then cancel your cable. There will be overlap in services, but you will not be without TV. Your dish location depends on access to the signal for Orby. For me, it requires a Southern exposure. My dish ended up on my garage roof. You may be able to contact their customer service and find out which exposure you need. Maybe for North America they all have to point South. I think there is a device that can read the Orby signal that comes with an install kit that will help you find the best signal strength for your location. The installers also use this device to locate where your dish should go.

If you live in an apartment you have to have the approval from your landlord before doing anything. If you live in a house make sure you have an open area around you before even spending the money for a dish. If you have alot of trees then you need to have them come to your house and do a survey first.
