The door on this model closes more easily and with less noise that most similar microwaves.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I chose this model based on the ease of closing/opening and the solid feel of the door, as well as the high power. It does have more mechanical sound to open and close but It never has to be slammed or closed forcefully and opens the same as new. To answer, yes it is a little noisy.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We have had this microwave just a few weeks and we have not experienced any problems with the door or any other issues. The only thing we are trying to get use to is the fact that it heats up so much faster than our old one. We were use to putting the reheat button on 4 mins or so, but this one reheats in about 30 seconds. We are pleased... so far...
