“How do you turn off the unit's voice? When we stop playing a dvd or do any kind of command, the unit "talks," saying things like "powering off" or reading menus to us in a super fast robot voice. How do we make it stop???!!!”

Thank you for reaching out to us. Press Home and select setup - Player settings - Audio - Voice guidance settings - Select off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.That robotic voice thing is awful. It needs to go away, Panasonic! Luckily I found this post and the answer worked. What is frustrating is that when you get into the Settings menu, you have to move fast because if you hesitate, it kicks you back out to the home page really fast.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Voice was DISABLED and the steps given on this page (matching steps shown in many sites) did not work I found an advanced option to reset to factory default. That is what enabled me to get in to Voice and fix the dang setting. All is good now.
