To enjoy BD-Video that supports Dolby Atmos or DTS:X, you need to connect this unit to an AV amplifier or similar device that supports it with an HDMI cable, and select the following settings: Dolby Audio: “Bitstream”, DTS/DTS-HD: “Bitstream” and BD-Video Secondary Audio: “Off”. - Answer Not a standalone dvd player that I can think of that would be powered by the USB slot on the tv. What might work is an external dvd drive that is used for computers. That might work.

- Answer According to the Basic Owner's Manual the player supports BD region A and DVD region 1, as well as ALL. I have not tested it with a disc from the UK, but since most of these discs are not region 1 it will most likely not work.

- Answer To play CDs you will need an HDMI cable, preferably HDMI 2.1 to connect to either your TV if you are using your TV speakers, or an audio receiver if you have a separate A/v system.
