A19's are more of a spot light beam patter so I guess they could appear less bright, but A19's actually have a higher Lumen rating which actually means they are brighter than these floods. However the flood is going to give you wider and more even coverage. Brightness could also appear different depending on the color temp and color of walls. Regardless of what bulb type you go with, play with the settings within the Hue app as I have been very happy with brightness of any of them in any application I have tried them in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have several of the A19 lamps as well, and you are right. They do not put out much light. I have this flood style lamp in a recessed ceiling light and it lights up a much wider area. I wish I had bought more of this style instead of the A19's
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If I am not mistaken the a19 bulbs have more or if not more than just the same amount of lumens as the flood light (par38) bulbs. It's just a matter of the amount of light being directed in a flood or an all-around pattern...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes they should work fine
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. These bulbs are very bright, but I think the light will be either all up or down as the bulbs are not roundish but more flat.
