Yes, but most UK plugs are not very tight, so the converter might slip out of the plug.

I cannot effectively answer this question. I only used it on adapter mode to charge my phone while in Germany. I do know it has the correct setting for use in the UK, and if it is not on adapter mode it may be able to work. I think if you check other sites as well as BestBuy for information, like Amazon, you may find the answer you are looking for. i don't want to mislead you and have it overheat on you and waste 50+ dollars.
