Though this device converts 220v to 110v it is not recommended to use with TV and other high wattage equipments in converter mode. This is more for like hair dryers and similar small appliances. How ever it does support high wattage when in adapter mode (does not change voltage). I personally use it to power my laptop when traveling, which support 110-240v.
