Will PS3 games play on a PS5? null

No. Most of PS4 games will play.

Unfortunately no. There is some PS3 games that is on Playstation Plus, or is ported over to the PS5 but you can't play physical PS3 discs on it. At least not yet. But it does have backwards compatibility with all PS4 games physical and digital. Just install on your console and you are good to go.
