WHY is a flash drive NOT good for archival storage ? null

From my experience if not careful when removing from computer the drive can easily be corrupted.

It is not that a flash drive is not good for archival storage; rather it is that it can be easily lost or damaged, than a more traditional external drive. I am also not certain whether you can save programs or apps to a flash drive as costs effective as an external drive.

The contents of flash drives decay over time. There are certain brands of disc media that are designed for archival storage. They may be a good alternative.
