“Compatibility I just want to know the difference between DDR3 and DDR3 SDRAM. I would like to put this in my wife's Macbook Pro. It's a late 2011 model which currently has 4 GB of 1333 MHz DDR3 SDRAM (PC3-10600) installed in pairs (two 2 GB modules). If I remember right, I wont be able to mix this card and one of the old cards as they will only operate at the 1333MHz speed so it will be running solo, since it is a x64 system I may buy two for it anyways though. It has been many years since I have actually upgraded the ram so I don't remember all of the things I should.”

PNY Ram doesn't work in Apple Products, all you need to do is research what ram will work in your Mac and get one of those. The list isn't long compared to PC's. Agent Hartley Geek Squad
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is NO DIFFERENCE between DDR3 and DDR3 SDRAM because THEY ARE THE SAME THING... I don't know why you're trying to add confusion to something. As far as Macs go you shouldn't mix different types/brands of memory modules because it can cause system crashes and errors, I speak from experience. Just buy a 2 pack and you're good to go.
