I bought these for my macbook pro years ago, it is still working great. I am buying again for my new laptop that has low memory. This will speed up my laptop very well.

I talked to the best buy chat help. Gave them my laptops serial number, product number, and specs. Ordered it a month ago. Received it today. And it does not match my computer's design. The gold tabs gap that secures it to the computer, is too far left and does not fit my computer. I will be going to my local Best Buy. With images of the 8gb Ram currently in my laptop, and the one I bought. And I expect the store to be amendable to trading the one I bought online with the right one in store at no additional cost and regardless of the package being opened. I have no doubt that the ram itself works wonderfully for other devices it's designed for. But this is not built for a HP Laptop 15-da0xxx.

I wanted to upgrade the 4gb ram in my HP laptop to 8gb. After researching, I decided to go straight to BestBuy for the PNY ram. Reviews were good and price was acceptable comparing to buying online. The sales person helping me actually said to me that most laptops won't accept this ram, and I could return it if I have an issue. I was hesitant but took a chance. I installed it, it seemed to work great for about 3hrs. Then my laptop went into a failure screen I have never seen before. My laptop tried for hours to "fix the problem". I gave up and re installed my old 4gb and problem solved. I really need to get a 8gb ram for my HP laptop to help me with my multitasking programs. I don't know what to do now. I gave this 2 stars because it worked for 3hrs, the salesman was honest (5 stars there) and returning it was a breeze (5 stars). Would be nice to see a comparability chart on the package so the customer doesn't have to take the 50/50 chance.

Bought it to upgrade my Dell i3 laptop which only had 4 GB of ram. It was easy to install and my laptop recognized it instantly. Now I can open multiple windows and there's no lag whatsoever with the laptop. It's been about three weeks since I installed it and there have been zero problems. The price at Best Buy is competitive and the local store pick up was a definite plus. I would definitely recommend this PNY product.

My 2nd time around with this product. Bought for my MacBook Pro and it was an instant performance upgrade. This one is for my daughter. With over 30 years of IT experience, I prefer a known manufacturer and PNY has been around and actually extensively tests its products. Apple compatible too! Easy to install.

These are able to increase the Ram memory in an IMac. I increased from 8 Gigs to 32 Gigs by purchasing 4 of these. This is the maximum on my 2015 iMac. They need to be installed in pairs on an iMac. It was easy to complete this process after watching a YouTube video.

I always like speeding up old technology and squeezing some extra life out of things, so when a friend brought me a laptop that was installed with a Win 7 install done via downgrade license, I took the opportunity to upgrade. Used this to upgrade from 4GB to 8GB of RAM, upgraded the HD to an SSD, switched the BIOS to UEFI mode, formatted the drive GPT and installed Windows 10. Installation went perfectly, and RAM usage won't be an issue. Most end users won't go over 8GB (I know some people will debate this, but for a basic user 8GB is more than enough RAM) which makes this a cost effective upgrade that can stretch the lifespan of an older system. If you've never installed laptop RAM before, all you have to do is access the slot, then line up the indentation on the connectors with the slot, push it in at about a 45 degree angle, then push it down flat so the metal clips hold it from the side. It's pretty self-explanatory and very easy to do.

My laptop computer became unacceptably sluggish over time. I discovered Windows 10 and all its updates and other start up programs occupied 3-1/2G of the 4G memory initially installed in the computer, leaving just 1/2G for all other functions. So I replaced the factory memory board with this 8G memory. The computer response sped up. If you have a slow computer, try this. It is easy to replace the memory board. Push apart the retaining arms in the old board and it snaps up. Remove and install the new board in the socket and push down. The retaining arms snap back into place. Although my computer had an empty memory socket, I prefer replacing the old memory rather than adding additional memory. That insures uniform speed. Make sure you select the right version of memory board for your computer, e.g, DDR3 or DDR4.

My older HP laptop was starting to feel very slow and tired. I decided to take a chance and bump the memory from 6 GB to 12GB by removing a 2GB and replacing it with this PNY 8GB SoDIMM. What a difference! A breath of new life for my laptop. My only regret is not running like 3DMark or some other benchmark tool before and after. Naturally the speed increase of the laptop comes from the doubling of memory which means Windows will not use the disk as often for memory swaps. I plan to leave my laptop at 12GB, simply because it's not worth the $$ given the age of my laptop. However, for newer laptops with Windows 10, you might consider maxing out the RAM at 16GB (at least a large number of laptop max out there.)

So I bought this for an Dell All-in-one (AIO) computer that I brought years ago from Best Buy. It was terribly slow and I could bearly do anything. So I bought not one but two stucks of 8GB of sodimm ram and replaced the hdd with an SSD that I had. The computer is great and I can do multiple things at one time and its very fast too. This ram was like new life for an old computer.

Sped up my system a little bit. Added 4 more gigs and I will say sometimes small things make a big difference. Easy install as long as you know what your doing. Works well with my 2015 asus
