I just upgraded my HP dv7 laptop with PNY DDR3, 2X8GB for a total of 16GB. Make sure the memory package says PC Type: Notebook. Also, verify your speed compatibility between the motherboard specs and memory module package. And, make sure the memory is supportive of Window 10 if you have it installed on the laptop.
