Is that somehow supposed to justify lying to consumers about a product’s MSRP of $329? Selling one for almost double doesn’t strike you as false advertising? It has nothing to do with the market or world events.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.lol the fact is the chip manufacturers (ie. TSMC) are hiking the price of their silicon wafers. iirc, TSMC increased their contract pricing by almost 20%. other foundries have raised prices 10-15% depending on the chip process node (5nm, 7nm, 16nm). there is a major semiconductor shortage and these foundries are capitalizing on the current market. the price increase makes it’s way down the supply chain to consumers in the end. what is best buy supposed to do? eat the cost?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Plain and simple, the price hike has more to do with crypto-mining than with any shortages. Production has been ramping up and yet the prices stayed high or kept rising. Demand is rising at an alarming rate not because "shortages" in production or "more" customers but because "less" customers are buying more GPUs. Before a single person would buy 1, maybe 2 GPUs for their PC and be done with it. Nowadays you have crypto-miners who are buying up 10, 20 or as many GPUs as they can get their hands on without any set goal really. Think of it as GPU inequality, a small percentage of people will be holding a large percentage of the GPUs. Adding scalpers on top of that and you have a lot of desperate people. I met some people on Black Friday at a store who told me they were scammed trying to buy GPUs on online websites, though that doesn't excuse this crazy price hike to 600$+ for a 3060. I think 500$ is more well-rounded for a single fan PNY.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.they must figure why let all the scalpers get in on the good pro's. so they made a deal with pony
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Would you rather they sell it at MSRP and have it out of stock because scalpers figure they can buy it at that price and resell with enough margin to make a profit? At least with this price, it's actually available and cheaper than it would be if you had to buy from a scalper on eBay.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Do you understand or know what is driving up these prices? There is currently a production shortage by the chipmakers meeting demand. These chips goes on everything electronic related from automobiles to TVs. Take a look around everywhere.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A lot of graphics cards are super expensive right now because of tariffs on the supplies used to make graphics cards and some other computer parts, any removals of said tariffs are unknown but I read somewhere that some companies like NVIDIA are going to places like Taiwan to get supplies to reinvigorate the GPU market
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I like how most people like you and a bunch of others always complain about how it's overpriced, which I don't know if you guys have seen the market on graphics cards but they are NOT cheap now because of covid and other stuff that happened because of covid.
