Pokeball Plus isn’t required to play Pokémon let’s go but so far it’s the only way to get the Pokémon Mew.

You do not need the Pokeball accessory to play the game. Some say it makes the game a little easier but you can still play with the normal controllers.

The game is playable without the pokeball plus there is not a big difference in gameplay without it

No you do not. Having a poke all is optional and that's for if you want to play it on the television. It works just as good without it

No, you do not need the pokeball to enjoy or play this game. You are able to play the game in full with with the standard joycon controllers. The pokeball accessory does have some special features, but nothing that will hinder your experience. The features include being able to use it with your Pokemon Go smart phone app, as well as to put Pokemon from your version of let's go pikachu or eevee on walks and whatnot like a virtual pet. Outside of that, it comes with a gift in game, a rare Pokemon, but ultimately, the accessory is not necessary.
