No, I charge mine every 4-5 days. It will let you know when the is about to die. It is wonderful on battery life. Just don't lose the cord!!! Even after the first low battery notice you will have about 12 hours to plug it in before it completely dies.

Factors that can affect battery life include operating temperature and whether or not the smart notification feature on the unit is enabled.
