• Mine muted the TV speakers on me when I plugged it into my little Insignia 24" Smart TV.

• I think you would have to look that on the model of your TV. For me, if I was to connect it to my TV it would only play sound on the bluetooth speaker.

• Most of the TV's will disconnect it's own speakers once you connect any external speaker
