“My grandson disposed of his cup of water down the stainless steel grate on the door. The water is now in the container below the grate and I don't know how to get the water out. Does the grate lift out for cleaning and for getting water out?”

Yes you can pull the metal portion up and out and the bottom portion twords you pulls out to dump out the water. My 1 year old was clever enough to discover that for us.
