I had the old Hp 6978. If your printer is old, you will have problems with Smart Print. It does not work on old printers. it causes the cartridge screen to freeze. Since the printer is in Michigan. What happened to me? HP did an upgrade using wiped out all the memory of the old printer and IP address. The system recognizes and looking for new cartridges that come with if it was new printer as a NEW Printer new IP number. The network old printer would not connect to the website. I had to at the time to go to Concast since the modem was there to update and not use the smart print at all which is the problem. do not use SMART PRINT on an OLD PRINTER. IT works great withHP new printer ONLY.

After I got a human thing went smoother. got my purchase i n two days then the biggest problem shifted to placing a request to have a Geek come out to download every thing from my old lap top. 4 phone calls to get it ordered.
