“I put in a video first time. It worked a few seconds. Now none of my videos work. The screen says AVIN. I cannot move past it. Tried changing batteries on the remote as well.”

You can use the buttons on the chassis of the player to navigate away from that setting. Try unplugging the unit and plugging it back in with no disc inside.
