“If I don't install it for almost a year, will it expire for any reason? My current subscription expires in about a year but I figured I'd buy it on sale. I've used Quicken since 2000 so it won't be wasted. I'm using the same email account/same Deluxe.”

I have done the same thing. In addition, You can actually install the new code 6 months prior to subscription end date and it will extend your subscription
