    • Answer I can’t say and trashed my paperwork, however the instructions came with a long list of TV brand names and this provides a four or five digit code. You locate your TV brand and then key in a code and it works! It very simple to program. We have a very old maybe 20 yr old VIZ10 tv and I found the code within the list. I would say give this Universal Remote a try and if it doesn’t work return it.

    • Answer Hello Tika- These remotes are made to work with multiple brands and there are indeed codes for Dynex TV's but if the direct codes don't work the auto code search is a process where you can search through all the codes stored in the remote to the find the code for your device.

    • Answer I do not know about a 10 year old TV, but a lot of the buttons on the remote do not work for my TV and it may be 3-4 years old. I really only need it for volume, guide and to stroll up and down. When I try to use the number to go straight to channels it will not work.

Usually, if we have codes listed for your brand of TV, then it will work. We do have codes for Sylvania, so it is very likely that we would be able to program the remote to your TV.

If for some reason one of the Insignia specific codes does not work for your TV, you can search for the correct code by using the Auto Code Search function. Auto Code Search goes automatically through all the codes for the device you’re trying to control.
