The annotations are flattened.  Im not oaware of any functionality regarding summaries as this is a feature of your PDF conversion softare.

I don't know if it works on standard pdf apps. If you open it in the remarkable app on your computer, you can select drawings and move them around or delete them or convert them to text if they are handwriting. I also am using windows and not mac/ipad products, but I assume the functionality of the computer apps remains essentially the same.
