“Light for filter I have a Model RSG257AABP Samsung refridgerator. I changed the filter but the light would not change from red. How do I reset this. I tried what the book said to do with the filter but that did not work. Hold the ice button for three seconds or hold the ice button and the child protect button at the same time for three seconds and that did not work. Any suggestions.”

Just hold the child lock button for 3 seconds. The light is based on a time limit from when it was last reset. It's not an actual sensor of when the filter has "gone bad".
