The Ring system natively supports First Alert Z-Wave Smoke/CO Alarms. But if you add a listener you can work with any alarm. I prefer Nest detectors so this is how I will do it with my system. As to temperature Ring uses lithium ion batteries, and they drain faster than designed in cold temperatures, and at 32 stop charging for say a Ring Alarm System extender. If you go on the ring website they offer an option. Also they are in the process of launching in the near future flood/temp sensors to notify potential freezing pipe issues or any issues with water flooding along with smoke detector listners (put it near a current detector current detector sounds it listens and then activates and alerts you) which will integrate with the system. Please refer to he ring website for details.
