Ethernet provides fast and reliable connection. I am using WiFi without issue.

According to Ring, if you plan on integrating any number of the ring cameras then, you would benefit from the higher speed that a direct connection to your router will provide. However WiFi is still a reliable option in that circumstance.

Ethernet is better for steady connectivity if you can connect to Ethernet. Your WiFi bandwidth depends on how many devices are connected and can reach a bottleneck if you don't have high enough bandwidth and have too many devices on the WiFi

Great question, Neighbor! There's no benefit to either, you can connect your Ring Alarm Base Station to whichever is more convenient for you.
