The Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 is a hardwired doorbell and does not use a battery. It is compatible with most digital and mechanical doorbell systems that are powered by a transformer (16-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz). A great first step is locating and confirming your transformer's rating.

The ring pro is hardwired only so there is no need to charge it.
