It is imperative that a home security device provide you the peace of mind that you purchased it for. It’s important to be able to see and speak with visitors anytime they approach your front entryway. Rest assured, we are here to provide you some solutions to your concern. Your Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 requires the Pro Power Kit to function, so be sure to install the Pro Power Kit before installing your Ring Doorbell. Here is a helpful article that walks through the installation process: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005974286-How-to-Install-Pro-Power-Kit-V2-for-Ring-Video-Doorbell-Pro. If you’ve installed this piece correctly, and have verified you have a 16-24VAC, 50/60HZ transformer installed, it is possible that the Ring Pro 2 device temperature can fluctuate because of outside temperatures being hotter or colder, or the device being positioned directly in the sun. Unlike a purely hardwired Ring doorbell, such as the Ring Doorbell Pro 2, a battery-operated Ring doorbell does not use the electricity generated by the hardwire to power its regular operations. Instead, it uses the provided rechargeable battery to do all of its regular operations. The charge from the hardwiring supplies a trickle-charge to our battery devices, such as the Ring Doorbell 3 and Ring Doorbell 4. We invite you to reach out at https://community.ring.com/ if any additional information is needed regarding your Ring Pro 2 device. Ring Community is our first peer-to-peer community forum, giving our customers the ability to help one another and share their feedback/experiences with Ring. Thank you, Jamila with Ring
