Hello Penny, Ring Doorbell Pro 2 will only use data when it’s activated by an event or when you access Live View via the Ring app. If Ring camera doesn’t detect motion or isn’t activated with the app, it won’t use your mobile devices' data. Video Doorbell Pro 2 is compatible with b/g/n/ac wifi networks operating on 2.4 GHz or 5.0GHz frequencies. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.To my knowledge this only uses your WiFi when it’s motion activated or if the bell has been rung it doesn’t always use your internet unless it’s activated.
