“I need to get sound in my Samsung sound bar from Roku and the cable box, will this do it? Currently, Sound bar is connected to the TimeWarner cable box via HDMI. I just bought a Roku 2 which is connected to the TV but the sound bar is not picking up sound from the Roku.”

• This will allow sound to pass through only. So if it does not do it now then it will not do it after. The problem is with the TV some allow sound pass though and others do not.

• This device will not do that, your best bet is to run all devices straight to your TV, and then use the optical port out of the back of your tv and run that to your sound bar.
