“Are direct tv receivers and gefen extenders compatible? I am connecting the splitter to a HD Direct Tv receiver and the out 1 to a tv and out 2 to a wireless extender from gefen . The image on the tv is a green overall this happens after being connected for a while. Are this products not compatible ?”

Maybe a bad Spliiter unit? Should feed though. If it works for a while and then goes green it sound like a mechanical issue.

I resolved the issue by connecting both outputs first and turn both screens on before I plug the source into the input. The trick seems to be that both monitors need to be on and connected and if one output powers down or gets disconnected I have to start over.
